Bailonggang Wastewater Treatment Plant Project

Bailonggang Wastewater Treatment Plant is one of the largest municipal wastewater treatment facilities in China and a landmark environmental project in Shanghai. It serves Xuhui, Minhang, Huangpu, Hongkou, Yangpu and Qiantan in Pudong, covering approximately 1,225 km² and a population of 9.6-10 million. Planned treatment capacity is 2.8 million m³/day, annual treatment exceeds 1 billion m³, and the facility covers approximately 820 mu.

As a key environmental project during China's 13th Five-Year Plan, the plant completed upgrading and expansion work, including Phase II of the sludge treatment expansion. The discharge standard was upgraded to Class IA and annual COD reduction reached approximately 350,000 tons.
